A conference seeking to address the various dimensions of Muslim identity and community was held in Islamic Centre of England on Sunday 6th September 2015. The conference organised by the Toronto based Revert Muslims Association is the first of its kind in the UK. The one day event was centred around 3 keynote speeches and workshops on :
Social Welfare, Marriage and Family life, Education,Media and Social and Political Activism
The conference was designed to serve as a platform for networking and uniting knowledgeable, experienced and like-minded individuals in sharing their ideas and visions, bringing faith and knowledge together. The organisers see the event as a starting point to draw an action plan for future projects to be undertaken.
The speakers were chosen based on their scholarly and social engagement backgrounds. Participants have expressed enthusiasm in the way the event was organised describing it both stimulating and fruitful.All speeches are available on line at the following address:
